Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays from the Jurgielewicz family!
As families are planning holiday gatherings to celebrate together and reflect on the past year, we thought we would share some of our accomplishments that were only possible due to the efforts of our loyal partners, customers, and hard-working, dedicated employees.
Our flock grew again this year with Michael and Isabella’s marriage in March. We also grew our workforce to more than 250 Pennsylvanians and welcomed Sarah Dalisay and Jim Hamilton as new regional sales managers covering the Central and Midwest regions, respectively. JJS expanded our partnerships with 42 local family farms helping us to meet the demand for America’s Tastiest Duck!
On the product development front, we launched our new fully cooked duck carnitas featuring rich, traditional Mexican flavors to help chefs across all dining sectors introduce memorable dining experiences with our famous Tasty Duck. JJS also introduced Duck Sticks to offer health-conscious on-the-go shoppers a nutritious and convenient snack packing 5 grams of pure duck protein in each stick. Available in three delicious, bold flavors – Original, Sweet Heat, and a zesty a l’Orange – our Duck Sticks are the perfect stocking stuffer. Our dry aged duck program that we launched in 2020 also continues to grow and be a showstopper on menus across the country.
And let’s not forget our four-legged family members – this year we launched Duck Country Pet Treats providing nutritious and ducklicious treats for pets.
We had a great time introducing NASCAR fans to America’s Fastest Duck at Pocono Raceway! As a fourth-generation family owned business, heritage and honoring lineage is extremely important to us, which is why we were proud to sponsor Thad Moffitt, the grandson of Richard “The King” Petty. We had a great season and everyone we met enjoyed the tastiest tailgates.
As 2025 nears, we wish our customers, partners, vendors and employees a heartfelt thank you for a fantastic 2024! We appreciate each and every one of you, and we are looking forward to an exciting new year that begins with two of our favorite observances, National Peking Duck Day and Chinese New Year!=
